A few formalities before taking the plunge …

Becoming French Fries World Champion (no less) is a bit like winning the lottery: to do it, you have to take part! To be in with a chance of being one of the shortlisted candidates and taking part in the competition, you first have to submit your application. Don’t panic, it’s not that complicated! We’ll take you through it step by step:

• 1. Print, read and sign the rules

To enter the French Fries World Championships, you must first read and accept the rules! You’ll need to sign it on the form later ✒️😁

• 2. Take great photos and smile

Get out your camera (the one on your phone will do if it’s less than 10 years old), put on your best smile and take the following few photos to attach to your registration pack (10 MB max per photo but there’s no limit to creativity 📸😃):

• A portrait photo (vertical) of you against a neutral background

• A photo of your fries or sauces (depending on the category you are applying for)

• If you are a professional, a photo of your establishment (restaurant, chip shop…)

• Download, complete and sign the appendices

The PDF file to download below contains a number of appendices which you will need to complete and sign by hand before attaching to the end of your application form. Please note that not all of them apply to the category in which you are applying!
