The experience begins…

The CWGC Visitor Centre is a unique interpretation centre, situated in the heart of the First World War battlefields.

Come and take a look behind the scenes at the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), which honours the memory of soldiers who fell during the two world wars, all over the world.

You will be able to watch our craftspeople at work in the engraving, joinery and metalwork workshops, learn how we maintain our cemeteries and memorials more than a hundred years after they were created, and find out about the work involved in exhuming and reburying the remains of soldiers who fell on the battlefields.
