Grand-Rullecourt Château

An imposing 17th-century château built of brick and stone, Grand-Rullecourt Château was brought up to date by the Marquis de Hamel de Bellanglise in 1745. It replaced an earlier Flemish fortified castle featuring a tower and crow-stepped gables. The residence is listed on the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments.

Standing elegantly opposite the village square, the château is distinguished by the stonework of its central projecting section, topped by a heraldic pediment, while stone detailing punctuates the ten bays of the façade.

Inside, visitors can discover the château’s spacious rooms, including the reception rooms, dining room, chapel, library, upstairs bedrooms, kitchen and staircases. The owners are committed to restoring and maintaining this historic property. The estate is also surrounded by extensive parkland.
